Harold, THE Golden Oldie grew up in Salisbury and loved music and baseball. He’s a University of Md. Engineering graduate, retired from Department of Defense, and now works part time as office manager for a mental health counselor. He always loved singing – church choirs, choir director, men’s quartets, and solo in shower, car, church, karaoke, anywhere. Married 41 years, wrote a song for his wedding. He has 3 kids, and 3 red-headed granddaughters.
Harold placed in the top 3 in the fall 2010 Frederick Shining Star vocal contest sponsored by the Frederick mediation group, CALM. He is currently Frederick’s Senior Idol for 2011, selected in a local competition sponsored by the Frederick County Department of Aging. He competed in the Maryland State Finals at Brooklyn Park, Md, in March 2011.
Harold is the owner of Golden Oldie Music. He performs Golden Oldie Music Shows featuring the oldies from the 40s thru the 70s. Harold sings a variety of music. His repertoire includes mostly pop oldies love songs and ballads, some big band (Sinatra, Bennett, Buble, etc.), with a sprinkling of oldie country (Jim Reeves, Patsy Cline, Eddie Arnold, etc.) He is currently performing at various locations in Charlotte and the surrounding areas.
